About Me
I grew up in a hyphenated town, Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey; attended Davidson College and New York University, and earned an M.A. in creative writing at New York University, studying under Peter Carey and E.L. Doctorow. In addition to my ongoing writing, I have worked as a publicist for Crown Publishers, assistant manager at the New York indie Madison Avenue Bookshop and in marketing and advertising for direct response consumer products. After several years at Guthy-Renker LLC, I now run my own consultancy, specializing in consumer and strategic marketing research, brand development, positioning and direct response scripting.
